Vegan Pesto Pasta

Ingredients
12 oz pasta of your choice (spaghetti, etc)
2 cups fresh basil leaves
2-3 garlic cloves
1/4 cup pine nuts or walnuts
1/4 cup yeast
1/2 cup olive oil
1 tbsp lemon juice
Salt & pepper to taste
1/2 cup parmesean
Instructions
Cook your pasta in salted boiling water, then drain and set aside
In a blender or food processor, add fresh basil, garlic, nuts, and nutritional yeast.
Blend while slowly streaming in olive oil and a splash of lemon juice until smooth and creamy.
Taste and season the pesto with salt and pepper, adjusting lemon or oil if needed for texture.
Toss the warm pasta with the pesto, adding a little reserved pasta water if it needs loosening.
Serve topped with extra basil, crushed nuts, or vegan parmesan, and enjoy!
